Hola. En mi búsqueda artística de mí misma (¡¡toma ya!!) quiero probar muchas cosas diferentes. De este mundillo me ha llamado la atención siempre esto de las etiquetas, el formato tag, quizás porque desconozco el motivo de usarlo como «marco» o canvas. La cuestión es dejarse llevar por el mixed media que hay en mí y aquí os traigo una etiqueta artística (atención: al final del post os pido un poco de ayuda con unas dudas).
Hi. I would like to try a lot of mixed-media techniques and shapes trying to find out myself. I was surprised by the ‘tag followers’ in this mixed-media world, maybe because I don´t know the reason why we use this size. I understand that what matters is to lose yourself and make what you want, so here you have a tag (hey, at the end of the post I share some doubts to see if you can help me).
He hecho algunas fotos a modo de ‘paso a paso’, sobre todo al comienzo. La base es una cartulina en tono crema de 7gypsies a la que he aplicado varias Distress Inks: rusty hinge, crushed olive y dusty concord. Luego añadí un poco de black soot en el contorno.
I took some pictures to show you the ‘step by stemp’, more or less. Base is a creme cardstock from 7gypsies where I applied three Distress Inks: rusty hinge, crushed olive and dusty concord. And a bit of black soot to the outline.
Con la tinta vintage photo añadí el efecto de maquinaria usando la plantilla 003 engranaje de todo-stencil.com. Al lado, con una esponja mojada un poco en agua, conseguí que la tinta distress reaccionara con la plantilla 029 halftone2.
Using vintage photo Distress Ink I added the gear deco with the 003 engranaje stencil by todo-stencil.com. Close to it, with the foam a bit wet on clean water, I got the effect of the 029 halftone2 stencil.
A continuación, la decoración y demás elementos: rubb-ons de Tim Holtz, un sello suyo del set Mini Blueprints para Stampers Anonymous con tinta Jet Black de Archival, un poco de washi tape Madame Payraud´s de Papermania, piezas de madera y chipboards, un brad de Doodlebug, el texto de la madera que es de Cosmo Cricket…
Later on, more embellishments: Tim Holtz´s rubb-ons, Tim Holtz´s stamp from Mini Blueprints set by Stampers Anonymous on Jet Black Archival ink, Madame Payraud´s Papermania washi tape, chipboards and wooden pieace, Doodlebug´s brad, small text from Cosmo Cricket…
Y esas piezas no tenían ese color. Me divertí bastante y puse Distress Paints (vintage photo, antique bronze y frayed burlap) y Distress Inks (walnut stain, vintage photo y black soot).
I added colour to the pieces with Distress Paints (vintage photo, antique bronze and frayed burlap) and Distress Inks (walnut stain, vintage photo and black soot). It was funny!
Conclusión: a mí me gusta, para que lo voy a negar. Hay algo en el estilo vintage y oscuro de Tim Holtz que me atrae. Aunque no podría vivir en él, necesito colorines, limpios y alegres, que me alegren la vista.
Conclusion: I like it, I can not deny it. There is something in the vintage and dark Tim Holtz´s style that it makes it attractive to me. But I couldn´t be living only on that, I need bright and clean colours in my life.
Petición de consejo: todas sabemos que las Distress Inks reaccionan con el agua u otros elementos mediums. Entonces, ¿cómo pegar las cosas sin que se altere el color? Porque se mueve con el pegamento, con el gesso, con el agua… ¡Gracias!
Asking for help: we know that Distress Inks reacts with water and other medium elements. Then, how can we glue embellishments to it without ‘moving’ the colours? Because it reacts with glue, gel, gesso, water… Thanks!
